Description
Two 1988 prints by Horst Bartnig (1936–2025), the East Berlin painter who from the late 1970s used computers to permute strokes and colors into his systematic 'Unterbrechungen' (interruptions) compositions — concrete art computed on the other side of the Wall. Details to be confirmed with the works in hand.
Seller's catalogue description (hwv-aq, Munich, via AbeBooks, July 2026): two prints marked E.A. (épreuve d'artiste), monogrammed and undated, each carrying a dated dedication on the verso (1988). Sheet size 34.4 × 30 cm each, condition fine. Both were made on the basis of computer graphics.
