Description
The 1969 Japanese pressing of Wendy Carlos's Switched-On Bach, issued under the name Walter Carlos by CBS/Sony in its first year of operation, in a gatefold jacket with four pages of Japanese liner notes and the paper obi still wrapped around the sleeve. The record that took the Moog synthesizer to a mass audience reached Japan within a year of its US release, a few years before Isao Tomita began his own Moog realizations there. A companion to the US Columbia Masterworks first issue (MUS.2026.087).
