Description
YMO's 1978 debut in both canonical forms on one 2LP: the original Japanese Alfa mix and the 1979 'USA version' remixed by Al Schmitt for American ears. It opens and closes with the 'Computer Game' pieces — Space Invaders and Circus arcade boards sampled as pop music in 1978. Sequenced on the Roland MC-8 MicroComposer by Hideki Matsutake — YMO's 'fourth member' — who entered the music as numeric data, keypad line by keypad line.
