Description
Summer Snail (1979): a black gestural field with a green arc, a red central form, and ochre shapes on cream — Saito's color-field painting instincts pressed through Lester Dembitzer's New York screens as a serigraph in an edition of 160, pencil-signed. The composition matches the reference impressions exactly, signature included. Two things want checking on the physical sheet: the edition number in the lower-left margin (the current photo may crop it), and the purchase record — no invoice has surfaced for this one yet.
