Description
Helio (Heliodoro) Santos is a Mexican-born artist and researcher trained in traditional painting who later turned to creative coding and machine learning, building algorithmic systems that generate and reinterpret natural landscapes. His hybrid practice spans generative AI imagery, on-chain works, and physical outputs executed by custom-built plotters and robotic drawing systems, and has been exhibited at FILE Festival, the NFT Biennial in Tokyo, and galleries in London, New York, and Rome. Mountains, bushes and clouds (2023) sits within this landscape-centered machine-drawing practice, in which terrain, vegetation, and sky are rendered through code-driven mark-making.
