Description
Arno Beck’s 2019 letterpress print Likespeed depicts a twisting, serpentine form constructed from intricate, rhythmic lines against a geometric grid. The interplay of light and shadow gives the figure a remarkable sense of depth, movement, and dimensionality. Blending precise, repetitive mark-making with a playful, almost surreal subject, Beck explores the relationship between traditional printmaking, digital aesthetics, and optical illusion.
